747 – not just a jet …

…. also the number of pictures I took at Gwen and Will’s wedding / hen night etc.
Felt like this was my first proper wedding. Am hugely pleased my computer didn’t melt when I uploaded all the images, to celebrate I’m putting up this little dip of Gwen and Will and Gwen’s lovely parents (that I want to adopt)

More – many many more – later čÖé

So – I am beginning to realise more and more that to be a really good photographer , for some kinds of pictures you really have to have an idea of what you want BEFORE you shoot. It’s not always enough to be in the right place at the right time.

I want some fairly standard pictures of my High Street , a collection of full street scenes and close up details. A mixture of B&W and colour.

The place is a bit dilapidated but has lots of multi cultural charm. Can I go out and capture any of this??

Let’s see ….. Here we go ┬á– laters.

What do you think?

Sunday Best

Met this delightful trio on my wanderings. They’d been to The Church at the Grand in Clapham Junction.

All properly wasted – but happy to have their photo taken by a random stranger …

Looking for a place to shoot

Went out yesterday evening looking for some quirky locations for future shoots. Am still a bit obsessed with little grungy urban corners.

All I need now are some models to put in them …

Farewell Mr Deakin – BBQ snapshots

Sod Waterloo – this is Battersea

The essence of a day

Castle Japes

More silliness at The Castle in Battersea. There’s never enough light and always too much sambuca in these kinds of pictures – but I love people and their pub expressions.
Hmmm … maybe I should start a project ….

Location Location Location

POET ┬áAmy Key┬áneeded some headshots taking for an upcoming tour – so … I took her to a car park in Tooting. (Conveniently, the car park has it’s own bar.)

Great place for sligtly mean looking background textures – and thankfully the sun decided to hang around for most of the time we were there.

Amy has these fantastic huge blue eyes – which I think make most of the pictures work. I managed to get my martini filled legs to hold me steady on a mini bar stool, so we got at least a few of the shots from a slightly different angle / perspective.

Should have experimented more with full length shots, and a wider range of facial expressions.

… ┬ánext time ….

( Ssshhhh – ┬áthese are not all monochrome – )

UNBELIEVABLE – a friend (the very talented Mr Keiler) called me the other day and asked if I fancied taking some pics of Damian Marley at the O2.

No light . Musicians that bounce about like zebedee on speed – all very challenging. But fun.
